7 Free Bionic Prompts worth $299+

Good afternoon.

I’ve got 2 things for you today:

  • Prompts you can use for analysis, optimization, exploration, and drafting landing page copy.

Last time I did an Open Office Hours, people seemed to love it.

It was a mixture of discussion, prompts, and Q&A (watch the replay here).

So, I’m doing another one.

This time, it’ll be more of the good stuff, like Prompts and Q&A.

And, I’ll be going deeper into different kinds of AI Workflows.

This is anything from prompt stacks to using tools like Zapier or Make, to have GPT-4 (and others) do tasks for you.

It’s like a simpler “AutoGPT” without the need for coding, Javascript, Python, or anything else.

These Workflows can help with not just marketing but with all sorts of operations for any business.

Like last time, it will be recorded (and you’ll receive an email when the recording is posted if you sign up).

Cool?

Cool. Sign up here if you want to join us or get the recording.

Now, a bunch of prompts for you that I could probably sell together with instructions and walkthrough for maybe $199? $299?

Maybe more, who knows.

But as a subscriber, you get them free today.

Let’s dive in.

BIONIC JUICE

Prompts are both worthless and valuable at the same time.

Because it’s all language and words, prompts are also infinite.

There are a hundred different ways (or more) that you can have ChatGPT produce anything from marketing strategies to Google ads, and everything in between.

So, they’re worthless on their own. Because there’s no one single formulation of a prompt that will always produce the same output, every single time.

But they’re valuable in that if you learn how to structure a good prompt, and understand that you’re engaging in a conversation (a chat)—you can consistently get great output.

For marketers and copywriters who still struggle and find themselves rewriting most of what ChatGPT is giving them, I’ve got one thing to say:

You’re probably missing a few key pieces that make up a good prompt—and that makes the output worth your time.

The 1-3 sentence prompts you see online everywhere are worthless.

But the prompts (and prompt stacks, flows, or sequences) I’m sharing below will show how you can start creating your own prompts.

In the long run, you’re better off being able to write your own prompts. It’s a valuable skill.

I’ve got over 1,800+ prompts (long ones, not those silly 2 sentence prompts) that I’ll probably share more of.

But they’re also worthless, in some ways.

Why?

Because updates to LLMs like GPT-4, filters, restrictions, ChatGPT becoming “dumber” for some things, all mean that prompts go in and out of usefulness.

There are no single magical prompts that last.

A long prompt that works great now will probably stop working as well a few weeks or months from now.

And if all you’ve ever learned was how to copy and paste text into ChatGPT, you’re back to square one.

But if you understand the structure of good prompts, and how to engage in a process to get the output you need—you’ll never have to pay for prompts again.

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again:

Good prompting is just good communication. If you can explain what you want to see done, with context, details, and instructions—you’re good to go.

One last note before I get into it:

You see marketers everywhere trying to give their prompts a cool sounding name.

I’ve seen “Super Prompt”, “Mega Prompt” and everything else in between.

For fun, I thought I should call mine GIGA PROMPTS!

But then I settled on something that’s on-brand for Bionic Marketing:

Bionic Prompts.

(Don’t take it too seriously).

It kind of works because these prompts require human interaction and adjustment.

If you bring nothing to ChatGPT and go in cold, you will get crappy output.

But if you bring your information, context, and details—you’ll get excellent output.

Here are 7 prompts, covering different topics like:

  • Bionic Prompt #1: Feature → Benefits → Dimensionalize Table

  • Bionic Prompt #2: Unique Mechanism

  • Bionic Prompt #3: Upgraded Avatar Profiling Research

  • Bionic Prompt #4: Plutchik’s Emotion Analysis to Copy

  • Bionic Prompt #5: Symptom Escalation & Offer Solution

  • Bionic Prompt #6: Solution To Metaphor Chain

  • Bionic Prompt #7: From Conflict to Landing Page

For all of these, where you see instructions in ALL CAPS, that means you replace the ALL CAPS with your specific details (without the ALL CAPS).

You’re meant to run these prompts as a stack, one after the other.

I recommend using GPT-4 (via ChatGPT), but GPT-3.5, Claude and Bard can work, too.

Cool?

Oh, also, because lots of people have straight-up ripped prompts from my AI Copywriting Workshop (as in, copy and keep exactly the same prompt with no changes but putting their name on them):

These Bionic Prompts are released with a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which means you are free to share them with attribution (Sam Woods and Bionic Marketing). But you’re not allowed to sell them in any way or form, or create derivative works.

With that out of the way, let’s get into it.

Bionic Prompt #7: From Conflict to Landing Page

Use this prompt to go from creating a conflict that your avatar experiences, and all the way to a resolution that turns into an offer you make on a landing page.

Got it?

You’ll go from scratch to a first draft of copy for a landing page (and the offer you need to make).

This would be great for a lead generation landing page.

Do this in the steps I outline below.

1. Prompt Template for Primary Desires:

Avatar: INSERT A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR AVATAR, WHAT THEY WANT, DESIRES, PROBLEM YOU SOLVE, PAINS THEY EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER RELEVANT DETAILS

Keeping this in mind, what could 6 primary, deep emotional and psychological Desires be that my Avatar experiences and is aware of? What could 6 Desires be that they're not aware of? Use their words and language, as if they’re talking to a close friend, written like a human without jargon or tropes.

You will then receive output from ChatGPT, Claude, or Bard.

2. Prompt Template for Primary Problems:

For the same Avatar, INSERT A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR AVATAR, WHAT THEY WANT, DESIRES, PROBLEM YOU SOLVE, PAINS THEY EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER RELEVANT DETAILS

Keeping this in mind, what could 6 primary, deep emotional and practical Problems be that my Avatar struggles with? What could 6 Problems be that they’re not aware of? Use their words and language, as if they’re talking to a close friend, written like a human without jargon or tropes.

You will then receive output from ChatGPT, Claude, or Bard.

From these two outputs, you select the Primary Aware/Unaware Desire and Problem to use below.

3. Prompt Template for Conflict:

You're an expert on human emotions, behavior, and language. In addition, you’re a trained market researcher and an expert in your field. You can easily and expertly detect human behavior, thoughts, and needs based on language and you can express it clearly, intensely, and with true empathy.

First, you’ll get context for your task and then the task. Follow my instructions closely.

Here's context for your task:
- Avatar: INSERT A DESCRIPTION OF YOUR AVATAR, WHAT THEY WANT, DESIRES, PROBLEM YOU SOLVE, PAINS THEY EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER RELEVANT DETAILS
- Primary Aware Desire: INSERT PRIMARY DESIRE FROM PREVIOUS OUTPUT
- Primary Unaware Desire: INSERT PRIMARY DESIRE FROM PREVIOUS OUTPUT
- Primary Aware Problem: INSERT PRIMARY PROBLEM FROM PREVIOUS OUTPUT
- Primary Unaware Problem: INSERT PRIMARY PROBLEM FROM PREVIOUS OUTPUT

Here's your task: Express and describe the conflict between the Primary Desire and Primary Problem, combined with the Unaware Primary Desire and Unaware Primary Problem. What's the interplay between them? What could go wrong? What are the obstacles to the Primary Desire? What frustrations do people experience with the Primary Problem? What are the struggles? What are the implications if this goes unresolved? Be descriptive and detailed, using simple language and words that my Avatar would use, written like a human with no jargon or tropes.

You will then receive output from ChatGPT, Claude, or Bard.

Now, you’re going to turn that into a landing page with the offer you want to make.

4. Prompte Template for drafting a Landing Page:

[You’ll be assigned your role, then context for your task, and finally the task. Follow my instructions closely.]

[First, you're an expert on combining writing with human influence and persuasion. In addition, you’re a trained market researcher and an expert in your field. You write messages that are optimized for maximum emotional impact as well as logic that justifies a decision. You write with clarity, intensity, boldness, detail, and descriptive language, using language and words my Avatar would use, written like a human with no jargon or tropes.]

Second, here’s context for your task:
- Conflict: This is the Unresolved tension and frustration between the Aware Problem and Unaware Problem.
- Solution: INSERT DESCRIPTION OF HOW YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE RESOLVES THE CONFLICT
- Offer: INSERT DESCRIPTION OF YOUR OFFER, WHAT IT IS, WHAT THEY GET, CAN BE A SUMMARY

[Finally, here’s your task: Write an 800 word message using the context provided. You MUST apply the PASTOR framework and organize your message according to the structure:]
[- Personal: Using the Aware and Unaware Problem in a first-person, vivid story scene of a conversation between the Avatar and his family. Add the Conflict as an escalation of the scene. Use first-person language and natural dialogue]
[- Amplify the situations and unintended consequences that happen if the Problems are not solved. Use first-person language and natural dialogue.]
[- Storytelling: Continue the scene and weave in the Aware and Unaware Desires that can be fulfilled and the Conflict being resolved if they accept my Solution. Use first-person language and natural dialogue with subtext.]
[- Testimonials: Include 3 testimonials from others who are like my Avatar, describing their situation and new life with my Solution. Don’t use first-person language or dialogue.]
[- Offer: Detail my Offer, including most important features and benefits. Don’t use first-person language or dialogue.]
[- Response: Tell my reader what to do next, as a call-to-action. Don’t use first-person language or dialogue.]

Finally, format your output like this: Use Markdown formatting to structure the output according to instructions above. Utilize #H1, #H2, ##H3 for headings as needed, bold for emphasis, and bullet points for lists.

And there you go, a first draft.

Please note: I’m using the PASTOR Framework above.

But you can use ANY persuasion or copywriting framework for your landing page, like AIDA, PASOP or something else.

Finally:

I’ve spent a few months putting together a browser extension (with the help if GPT-4) that will help you run prompts (for optimization, drafting, ideation, analysis, and more) for you.

To get the latest on this, and about Workflows in general, make sure you:

I’ll share more details then.

See you next time,
